We had an long day today.  Found out bad news about one of my best friends today. Still reeling about this news.  Nearly killed Lauren and I today on the highway.  We had the life raft in the back of the Navigator.  Someone in front of us pulled over in our lane and I instinctively swerved.  The life raft in back shifted and broke the back end lose and we were headed for the grass in the median.  Luckily the redneck in me got the Navi back straight and we kept going.  I was preparing for the truck rolling. Good news.  Bad news worse than the good news.

We spent time at the US Border and Customs office to get our SVRS cards.  These allow us to potentially reenter the country without having to go through customs and just call in when return to the states.  Typical government office.  More folks than work to do.

After that we took the liferaft for inspection.  As we suspected it was in poor condition.  But we let them inflate it and got to check it out.  We ended up having to buy a new one.  Another couple of boat bucks.
